Harry Potter Book Launch at Trilogy

I attended a book launch of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. One of the numerous launch parties all over the world, hosted and attended by obsessed fans like myself. This particular party was hosted by Meethil and Ahalya Momaya, who own Trilogy, at Lower Parel.

Mumbai Metro Festival 2016!

Hello my lovely readers!

I've gotten a few messages from you guys asking where I've disappeared to, it was because my laptop was totally fried. But now, my laptop is back and so am I!

Today, I'm going to be telling you about the Mumbai Metro festival that's happening for another week, called Majhi Metro 2016. You can find a lot of amazing pictures on Instagram under the hashtag #MajhiMetro2016.

This is Why We Love Comfort Food

What is it about comfort food that really appeals to us? We just love the whole idea of it. It appeals to our sentiments and makes us soft and nostalgic.

Sometimes it reminds us of home. Sometimes it makes us feel like a child again. And sometimes it makes us feel better on a bad day. The thing is, humans build powerful relationships between sights, smells, sounds, textures… and memories. We build mental relationships, connecting things that we relate in ways that are meaningful to us.

That scent of aam panna that takes us back to summery childhood days. We can actually scrunch up our eyes, taste it so vividly; a melange of flavours that reminds us of leafy verandas and vacation time.

BNLF at the Lalit + Food Truck!

I was at the Lalit Mumbai, attending BNLF which I've been writing and writing about. The day was finally here. As I have told you all, I was part of the Stage Crew, and hence I was running around backstage, and it was an awesome experience to interact with all the keynote speakers. It was a day very well spent.

I am still a little dazed about the conversations I had with all the keynote speakers that day. It's just too precious to write down. But they all wished me luck for this blog, and so I carry an enormous amount of goodwill with me from people who have achieved so much and yet are humble and amazingly supportive. You can find out more information about the event - just go on Twitter, search for the hashtag #BNLF. You will find a wealth of information that you can apply to your own life, whether you are a blogger or not. You'll find more information there than I can ever give in an article, however much I write.

And now, for the food truck!

My Pretty Simple Day

I created this very simple board, with the name of my blog on it, including the hyphens that are a part of my blog link. I keep it propped up on my table, and it reminds me what I am working towards - making my little spot of the internet the best I can make it. So today, I just decided to click a few pictures with it. Taking my board out in the pretty sunshine. Here they are:

Little Stories - 1 - Coconut Monkey

So, I was on my way back from dinner, walking along the road, when I come across this little shop, selling all sorts of stuff - snacks, water, bags of air with a few chips inside, cigarettes - you get the gist? Those tiny convenience stores (for lack of a better word), that we have on street corners all over the city.

At this shop, there was this little carved monkey sitting on top of the jars, with a cigarette in it's mouth! It even had hair. It was really cute, and I was intrigued.
